Pricing

Manchester Music Library (MML) is a top end music library recorded with live musicians in New York studios. Each of the 30 CDs in MML contains approximately 70 minutes of music. There are main themes, underscores and 30 and 60 second and tag length broadcast cuts.

Manchester Special Edition (MSE) is a set of CDs created by Manchester Music especially for broadcast use. These CDs contain 30 and 60 second and tag length cuts.

There are three ways to license music from Manchester Music.

1. Blanket (also known as Annual Lease)
We provide you with a package of CDs. You have the license to synchronize any of the music on the CDs in an unlimited number of productions during the term of the blanket (one to three years) and according to the license level of your productions. This license remains in effect in perpetuity unless changes are made to the production or license level.

2. Buyout
You purchase a package of CDs. You have the license to synchronize any of the music on the CDs in an unlimited number of productions for an unlimited amount of time. This license remains in effect in perpetuity unless you change the license level of the production.

3. Needledrop
This option involves submitting a needledrop report form each time music is used. Customers who choose this option must be pre-qualified. Please email information@manchestermusic.com or call for further information.

Buyout

Manchester Music offers the following lifetime license packages. Prices are a one time fee paid to license the use of the music on the CDs forever. Prices are for a standard license level. Please email information@manchestermusic.com or call for a quote for other license levels.

Needledrop

Manchester Music Library provides a needledrop licensing option. With this option a report is filed each time a needledrop from the library is used. A needledrop is one uninterrupted play of a cut used in one spot in a production. Needledrop customers are pre-qualified. Below are some needledrop prices. Please call for more information.

Details

Synchronize
You are required by law to obtain from the publisher a license anytime you combine music with another medium such as video, voice over or sound effects. This license is also called a synchronization license. As publishers of all the music in the Manchester Music Libraries we have the right to issue this license for a reasonable price and with a minimum of paperwork.

License Level
The standard license level covers non-broadcast and local broadcast use of the music.

For regional and national broadcast license levels and applications such as free copies, copies for sale, internet use, message on hold, theatrical, etc prices will vary. Please email information@manchestermusic.com or call us to discuss your application.

For educational a non-profit license levels we offer a 10% discount from the standard license price.

For educational use by students we offer an “in class” license level with a 30% discount.

Performance rights are usually covered by ASCAP and BMI. When necessary you may purchase a direct performance license from Manchester Music.

With a blanket you get convenient access to the most music for the least initial cost. A blanket is a great option for busy producers because you only have to shop once for all the music you need. With instant access to all the material you have a full library which you get to know well saving you valuable time in your productions. Free updates expand the size of the library each year, automatically, with fresh material.

With a buyout you get unlimited usage of the music on the purchased CDs without renewals or returning CDs.
