Re-scoring is a unique technique in which hundreds of pre-existing music cues can be quickly and cost-effectively adapted to a specific scoring situation. These pieces are richly orchestrated and often exist in "suites" in which a melodic theme or motif has been given different treatments that vary in mood and style. These are the building blocks of re-scoring and they can be re-structured in terms of length, tempo, orchestration and mix density. After reviewing scripts and storyboards the pieces are selected, adapted and mixed. The results are fantastic- often even better than an improvised and rushed original composition.Why?
